Booking terms, prices & cancellation
All prices on this website are shown in US dollars (USD) per room and per night for the selected dates and number of guests, including VAT. The total for your stay is displayed before you confirm a booking. Bookings are recorded in our property management system and confirmed by e-mail.
Rate plans
- Standard — Free cancellation until 5 days before arrival. If you cancel later, or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will not be refunded. No prepayment required.
- Non-Refundable — If you cancel your booking, the total price of the reservation will not be refunded at any time. In case of no-show, the total price will also not be refunded. Prepayment is required: payment instructions (KHQR / bank transfer) are sent with the confirmation; the reservation lapses if payment is not received within the stated deadline.
- Flexible — Free cancellation until 2:00 PM on the day of arrival. If you cancel after 2:00 PM, the first night will not be refunded. In case of no-show, the total price will not be refunded. No prepayment required.
Payment
Payment is made at the hotel (cash or KHQR) unless a prepayment is required by the selected rate plan. Extras booked during your stay (tours, scooter rental, shuttle, laundry, drinks) are added to your guest account and settled at check-out.
Cancellation & changes
To cancel or change a reservation, reply to your confirmation e-mail or contact us at info@villa-sun.world / +855 96 794 38 14. Cancellations take effect at the time we receive them; the rate-plan rules above apply.
Complaints
Please raise any complaint with our reception or by e-mail first — we resolve almost everything on the spot. Consumers in Cambodia may additionally contact the National Commission for Consumer Protection (NCCP) under the Law on Consumer Protection.

Parking: private, camera-monitored parking in front of the house. No security guard — please lock your vehicle and take valuables with you: the camera can tell the story, but it cannot stop it.ចំណតយានយន្ត៖ មានចំណតឯកជននៅខាងមុខផ្ទះ និងមានកាមេរ៉ាឃ្លាំមើល។
Please treat our property, guests and team with respect. Damage may be charged — this is a hotel, not an all-you-can-break buffet.សូមគោរពទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិ ភ្ញៀវ និងក្រុមការងាររបស់យើង។ ការខូចខាតអាចមានការគិតថ្លៃបន្ថែម។
Privacy & data protection
We protect personal information held in electronic form with reasonable security safeguards against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, leak or disclosure (Law on Electronic Commerce, Art. 32). This notice explains what we process and why.
What we collect and why
- Booking data — name, e-mail, phone, country/nationality, dates, number of guests, rate plan, price, special requests. Purpose: to create, confirm, change and settle your reservation and to issue invoices. Stored in our property management system (Beds24) and our hotel operations database.
- Guest registration — passport or ID details are checked at check-in as required for hotel guests in Cambodia. They are not stored by our chat assistant.
- Chat with Sunny (website, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, WhatsApp, in-room tablets) — your messages are processed by AI language models (Google Gemini, OpenAI) to generate answers and, where you ask for it, to check availability, prices or place a booking. Voice messages are transcribed by the same providers. Conversations are stored so our reception team can follow up. Please do not send card numbers, passport numbers or health details in the chat — Sunny is instructed not to store them.
- E-mail — confirmations, invoices and your replies are processed through our mail provider (IONOS).
- Server logs — IP address, requested page and time, kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time which personal data we hold about you and request correction or deletion of inaccurate or no-longer-needed data (Law on Electronic Commerce, Art. 32; right to correct or delete inaccurate information). Data required for tax and accounting records is kept for the legally required period. Contact: info@villa-sun.world.
Marketing
We do not send newsletters or unsolicited commercial messages. Messages you receive from us relate to your stay (confirmation, arrival information, invoice).
Cookies & local storage
villa-sun.world uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party tracking. The site stores only what is technically necessary in your browser: your current booking selection and the last messages of your Sunny chat (browser local storage), so that the page keeps working while you browse. Nothing from this storage is used to profile you. Embedded map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap when you open the location section.
